“The Youth Matter team was so great with our students. The students were very engaged and interactive and had great feedback after. It was so awesome to have students asking questions and involved about talking about their mental wellness and mental health. We are very appreciative and supportive of the Youth Matter team and all of the projects they are doing.”

What Schools, Teachers + Parents Are Saying

The “Be Kind to Your Mind” team did an excellent presentation at our school on a very relevant and important topic; mental wellness. I highly recommend to all schools looking at providing mental health support and education to their students.

— Saskatchewan teacher

The YMC ‘TechTalk & Online Harms’ presentation is an honest and truthful message for youth without using any scare tactics. Lived experiences are shared with the students making the presentation very relatable and powerful! Thank you for joining us at Father Robinson school. Your presentation was informative, and very necessary.

— Sherry McLean, Principal, Father Robinson School

The YOUth Matter Symposium was an amazing opportunity for our youth to learn more and create an open discussion about mental health. I cannot thank you enough for all of your work and effort to bring this event and opportunity together! One of my children summed up the day when he said, “If your generation can help give us the tools, then our generation will be able to build something.” We are already looking forward to attending again next year!

— Lynn Roszell, parent

Our school booked the ‘TechTalk & Online Harms’ presentation and this is one that needs to be heard by all students as they learn about digital citizenship and how social media can be both addictive and unsafe for youth. The students wanted to continue the conversation well after the presentation was complete!
