Youth Matter Canada’s Community programs create safe, inclusive spaces where youth, parents, families, and educators can come together to connect, learn, and support one another. Through initiatives like Teen Talk Tuesdays and Community Connect, participants gain opportunities to share experiences, explore mental wellness strategies, and build resilience with the guidance of caring professionals. With the support of volunteers and registered counsellors, these virtual gatherings foster meaningful conversations, reduce isolation, and strengthen the collective commitment to youth mental health and wellbeing.

#teentalktuesday

#teentalktuesday all started during the pandemic in the spring of 2020. The goal was to provide youth an opportunity to connect and support one another during a time in the world where everything felt so disconnected.

We have hosted youth and adult panel guest speakers from all across the province including renowned author, speaker + Mental Health Advocate Allan Kehler, owner of Limitless Gear Clothing + motivational speaker, Cody Demerais, and children’s author + Mental Health Podcaster Todd Renebaum.

#teentalktuesday is a safe, supportive + inclusive virtual space for youth ages 12-18 fostering connection + conversation in the mental wellness space. We meet the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM CST

Join us for conversation, connection + fun giveaways! Email us or complete the form below to register.

#teentalktuesday runs the 1st Tuesday of each month and provides an opportunity to connect with and hear from other youth on topics relating to youth; school, family, friends, relationships, stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, and so much more. It is a safe, and inclusive virtual space where all participants are able to remain anonymous if they wish.

Each session, Teens are provided with a list of mental health supports and contact numbers should they find themselves in a mental health crisis for themselves or a loved one. We have a registered social worker in attendance each session and any teen in immediate crisis will be referred to a mental health professional for follow-up support.
